everything must go...

After much deliberation and great reluctance, I'm going offline for a while until I get me a job. I'm playing it safe for fear that stories of my ass-clenching adventures might jeopardize an otherwise promising career in academia. I officially have no opinion or personal life. Sad, isn't it? Mind you this decision has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that I have been subsisting exclusively on NPR, coffee and canned soup. So all writing will be suspended until I get hired somewhere. For now, I bid you peace.

Best of luck.

Please tell me that you've archived your writings for later bound dissemination, after you find solid ground and connections with a publishing house as a famous, law-abiding academic who doesn't use dirty language or think about things like Charles Barkley's golf swing.

Yo Minsuh,

How's the job search? I know you're busy right now but can you help me? A girlfriend of mine just broke up w/ her fiance--uh, a month b/f her wedding. Yup, I was a bridesmaid. Once you posted a poem on your blog about a woman just getting up & realizing she's completely over a guy. Can you tell me the poet & the title. Even better, if you still have it, I'd really appreciate it if you could send the entire poem so that I can console my pal.

Thanks in advance.
